REGULATIONS OF THE MEDITATION SESSION (“Regulations”)

The Regulations are in force from 16.01.2016.

1. The organiser of the meditation sessions is the Benedictine Abbey 6 Mickiewicza Street, Lubiń 64-010 Krzywiń (hereinafter referred to as the Organiser).

2. A participant of the meditation session, under the conditions specified in the regulations, can be any natural person of full legal age. Persons under 18 years of age must have a written consent of their parents (legal guardians) to participate in the session.

3. The meditation session takes place at the Abbey and will be run according to the schedule on the website: www.lubin-medytacje.pl/enrolment 

4. A person can take part in a meditation session if they have no psychological or health contraindications to take part. If a participant has a medical condition or is taking medication, they are obliged to notify the facilitator, who, taking into account their concern for the well-being of the individual and the group, may refuse to allow the participant to take part in a meditation session.

5. Participation in the meditation session is voluntary. The participant is responsible for health and personal results resulting from participation in the meditation session.

6. Participants in a meditation session are required to abide by the rules and regulations of the Abbey Guest House.

7. In order to register for a meditation session, a participant is obliged to send in an application form which can be found at: lubin-medytacje.pl/enrolment

8. The participant is obliged to provide the following personal data needed for registration: name, surname, city of residence, age, e-mail and contact phone.

9. Personal data provided during registration will only be used to organise the session and for the purpose set out in pt. 4 of the Privacy Policy in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Data Protection Act of 29 August 1997 (Journal of Laws 1997 No. 133 item 883)

10. After registration, the Participant will receive information by e-mail, which is a confirmation of the application, containing all the information concerning further steps and making the advance payment.

11. The Participant shall make an advance payment in the amount and by the date specified in the e-mail confirming the application. Only the payment booked on the Organiser’s account is equivalent to the booking of a place.

12. In the event of failure to make the payment within the prescribed period, the application shall be cancelled.

13. If, after making the advance payment, the participant notifies the Organiser of his/her withdrawal from the session no later than 14 days prior to the commencement of the session, the advance payment shall be returned. The advance payment shall not be returned in the event of later cancellation of participation in the session.

14. Cancellation of participation must be notified via e-mail: osrodek@lubin-medytacje.pl or by telephone at 660-507-614.

15. In order to optimise the use of places, the Organiser may confirm participation in a meditation session by e-mail or telephone to those who, after sending their application, have not been registered for the session and have been put on the reserve list. In such cases, confirmation of participation in the meditation session can be made less than 14 days before the start date of the meditation session.

16. The participant is not allowed to change the date of the session at will. Signing up for a session on a specific date excludes the possibility of participating at another date.  Participation in a session at another date is possible after sending a new application for that date and on condition that it is registered.

17. The organiser reserves the right to change the person leading the meditation session.

18. In case of cancellation of a meditation session due to the Organizer’s fault, participants will be refunded their advance payments.

REGULATIONS OF PARTICIPATION IN MEDITATION SESSION

IN THE BENEDICTINE MONASTERY IN LUBIN

DURING THE PANDEMIC COVID-19 (“COVID-19 RULES”)

The Covid-19 Regulations (“COVID – 19 RULES”) and ELIGIBILITY QUESTIONNAIRE (“QUESTIONNAIRE”) from 13 of April 2022 are suspended until further notice.

GENERAL

1. Only healthy persons (without visible symptoms of COVID-19 disease listed in the Eligibility Questionnaire) who, immediately before being accommodated for the session, present to the Guest Prefect or a designated person

 – a document, issued by authorised bodies or institutions, confirming that:

 a) they have been vaccinated with a second dose of mRNA vaccine (Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna) against COVID-19 and more than 14 days have passed since this event,

b) have been vaccinated with a first dose of vector vaccine (AstraZeneca, Johnson&Johnson) against COVID-19 and more than 4 weeks have passed since the event,

c) have been vaccinated with a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine (mRNA or vector) and this dose of vaccine was given within 180 days of the COVID-19 event,

d) they have had COVID-19 within the past 180 days,

 – or produces a certificate issued by a competent authority or institution indicating:

e) a negative result of a diagnostic antigen test for COVID-19 not older than 48 h counting from the start of the session or,

f) a negative result to the COVID-19 diagnostic RT-PCR test not older than 72 h from the start of the session.

2. Participants are required to complete the Eligibility Questionnaire and temperature measurement prior to accommodation.

3. By sending the Session Application Form from https://lubin-medytacje.pl/zapisy/ and accepting the Session Regulations, the session participant simultaneously agrees to a non-contact body temperature measurement prior to the session and during the session if required.

4. The Eligibility Questionnaire is an integral part of the Rules and Regulations during the COVID-19 pandemic.

5. The session leaders have the right to refuse further attendance at the meditation session and the Monastery to a person who does not comply with the Rules, a person who has not answered all the questions in the Eligibility Questionnaire and a person with noticeable symptoms of COVID-19 disease as listed in the Eligibility Questionnaire.

6. Persons who, prior to their arrival at the meditation session, have informed the Centre about their resignation from participation in the session due to circumstances referred to in questions 1-5 of the Eligibility Questionnaire and persons who, immediately after their arrival at the session, were refused participation in the session due to the presence of noticeable symptoms of the COVID-19 disease, referred to in point 5, which eliminated them from the session. 5, which eliminated them from participation in the meditation session, the paid advance payment will be returned.

7. During the meditation session, it is forbidden for anyone outside of the session to be on the guest floor, including religious brothers (with the exception of the Guest Prefect and designated brothers assisting the session organisers).

8. Protective masks can be purchased in the shop at the gate.

9. If, within 21 days after the end of the meditation session, a participant develops symptoms of COVID-19 illness or tests positive for SARS-Cov-2 virus, the participant must immediately notify the Christian Meditation Centre by email or phone (email: osrodek@lubin-medytacje.pl, phone: 660-507-614).

KITCHEN & REFECTORY

1. Only participants of the meditation session are allowed to enter the guest kitchen.

2. Max. 4 persons are allowed in the guest kitchen at the same time. 4 persons at a time. 3.

3. It is forbidden to enter the house of the monks (the so-called New House), including the kitchen, bathrooms and refectory.

4. The monks are not allowed in the rooms on the first floor of the Guest House.

5. People preparing meals should wear gloves. Disposable gloves are available in the guest kitchen. After use, they are disposed of in the mixed waste.

6. Food preparers distribute food according to instructions given by the session leader or designated person.

7. When the meal is finished, we leave the dishes in front of us on the refectory table. Designated duty bearers carry and wash the dishes, disinfect the tables and place the dishes on the tables for the next meal.

8. Lunch is collected from the staff room located behind the extension to the kitchen, to the left of the main entrance to the New House.

9. We report any lack of food products in the hospitality kitchen to the session leader. We do not organise products on our own.

MEDITATION HALL

1. Wearing masks is not obligatory in the meditation hall.

2. After each meditation block, the person in charge opens all windows and ventilates the room.

3. During moving meditations we keep a distance of at least 1,5 metres.

4. When entering and leaving the meditation room we maintain a respectful space.

 5. The heating and cooling controls in the meditation hall are operated only by the session assistant or a designated person.

CHURCH

1. We are required to wear masks covering our mouths and noses during Mass and religious prayers in the church and oratory.

2. we use only the breviaries assigned to each individual. After each meditation session, the breviaries used are quarantined for 10 days.

3. When going from the guest floor to the church, we use only the main staircase near the kitchen. The side staircase (from the chapel to the guest floor) is not to be used by the participants of the meditation session.

 4. Any comments are to be reported to the session leader.

BATHROOMS AND TOILETS

1. We use only the toilets and showers (marked with letters) allocated for specific rooms. Information about the letters indicating the individual toilets and showers allocated for a particular room can be found in the individual rooms. Persons accommodated in rooms with bathrooms use only the bathroom and toilet in their room.

2. A maximum of 3 persons can be in the bathroom at the same time.

3. Every time after using the toilets, we disinfect the lid, the toilet seat, the button of the water container and the handle with disinfectants available in each bathroom.

4. We report any shortage of hygiene products, disinfectants or any defects to the session leader.

WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND:

 – avoid close contact,

 – maintain a space of respect,

 – frequently wash hands thoroughly for at least 30 seconds in warm, soapy water (after each contact of the hands with the common touching surface of many people, as advised),

 – use disinfectant lotions and antibacterial gels as needed (as directed),

 – sneeze or cough while covering your face with a forearm or handkerchief; after using a handkerchief, throw it away in the container for mixed waste

 – do not touch your face, eyes, nose or mouth with your hands,

 – keep your distance,

 – be calm.

In case of withholding any information, I take full responsibility for endangering the life or health of persons staying with me at the Benedictine Monastery in Lubin (“the Monastery”) and participating in the meditation session.

– I declare that despite all efforts made by the organisers of the meditation session at the Centre for Christian Meditation at the Benedictine Monastery in Lubin (“the Centre”), I am aware of the risk of becoming infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus during my stay at the Monastery and the meditation session and I waive any right to claim against the Centre, the Monastery, its employees, and the participants of the meditation session should such infection occur.

– I declare that I am familiar with the Meditation Session Regulations (the “Regulations”), including the Regulations for Participation in the Meditation Session at the Benedictine Monastery in Lubin during the Covid-19 Panedemic Time, in force during an epidemic or outbreak state, I accept them in full (including my consent to the measurement of my body temperature with a non-contact thermometer, as referred to in Section 3. General Regulations of Covid-19) and I agree to abide by it, including accepting that answering “YES” to questions 1 through 5 of the Survey may eliminate me from participating in the meditation session (to which the Survey pertains) and from staying at the Monastery. In such a situation I agree to leave the Monastery and resign from the participation in the meditation session (which the questionnaire concerns).
